Everyone has something to say about this...

What is the role of women in the church?

What do you think the Bible has to say about the roles of men and women?

How does that make you feel?

I'm seriously asking these questions and looking for some thoughts, experiences, scriptures, books read, sermons heard, etc. etc.

Thank you all friends.

So I'm breaking away...

into the custom web blog world.

You can access the web blog at www.jodeeandchris.com currently, but it will probably eventually be changed to an actual blog-centric domain name.

Regular contributors to this blog will be myself, my brother (Jason), and possibly some other Borahs. We will see.

I tend to be a sensationalist...

We will continue to see more soft foreign policy, more taxes, and more vague, baseless rhetoric.

Agreed. I am a "hard-liner" when it comes to what I stand for. Continue to pray for the leadership of this country. Pray that God would use his sovereign hand to effect justice and make this government to be God's servant to do good. I am not a fan of soft government and soft politics. Throughout world history (Bible and books included) soft, inclusive, accepting societies have not faired well as a whole.

After all the role of government is to be "an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer" (Romans 13).

It truly is a great dichotomy in my heart, to reconcile God's sovereign use of government and what our roles in it (esp. when we have a 'vote' in what our government stands for), and his sovereign grace to bring about the salvation of the elect throughout the world.

So my heart feels that I have no idea what this country will do next; what treaty we will sign; what compromises for peace we will make. I do know the Prince of Peace is still reigning supremely over all the earth.
